The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business association governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals from a broad cross-section of member businesses and organizations. With almost 1000 member firms and organizations from all sectors of the local economy, the Chamber actively promotes the majority view of its members through interaction with all levels of government. The Chamber's community development committee regularly monitors and responds to business and development issues of the day, ensuring that the Chamber's views are given priority consideration by the area's top decision makers. As well, members of our Board of Directors and our professional staff regularly liaise with other local business associations.
The Chamber is committed to building our local economy and enhancing the business potential for our members by attracting new companies in the retail, manufacturing, service and tourism sectors.
Tourism is one of the largest economic contributors in the Greater Kingston area. The Chamber plays a key role in promoting this vibrant industry by providing representation on the Tourism Advisory, Tourism Awareness Week, Convention and Events Kingston committees. By supporting the Tourist Information Office and operating the Confederation Tour Trolley, the Chamber is a vital link in the local tourism chain.
Throughout the year, the Chamber's programs offer networking opportunities that will keep you on top of the ever-changing market. The breakfast series offers exciting speakers discussing topics of relevance to the entrepreneur. Attend one of our many business mixers and touch base with as many as 200 local business people. You can exchange business cards, talk business or just have fun! Mixers are designed to assist you in meeting your business objectives. Other events include our annual golf tournaments, President's Gala and a variety of seminars on topics essential to the active entrepreneur.

For over a decade, the Chamber's annual awards ceremony has celebrated top achievers in the Greater Kingston business community. Award categories include Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year (1-5 employees)(6-30 employees)(over 30 employees), Tourism, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and President's Award. Chamber award winners are among the most distinguished business people in Ontario.
